Process Mining: Tools Experience Summary
An essential element of learning about and applying process mining techniques includes experimenting with available tools. This post summarizes my thoughts about the tools I’ve explored. Given my limited resources, these notes discuss only the freely-available versions.
While working through the Process Mining: Data Science in Action course available through Coursera, the videos present the ProM tool and supplemental resources introduce Disco. Internet research revealed a number of other tools reviewed and ranked by multiple organizations using a variety of criteria, for example:

As a result, I have investigated the tools in the order listed below:
Tool | One Word | Link |
---|---|---|
ProM | Frustrating | http://promtools.org/ |
Disco | Cool! | https://fluxicon.com/disco/ |
Celonis Snap | Wow! | https://www.celonis.com/solutions/celonis-snap/ |
